More about the Delancey Family

The Delancey Family

You’re probably wonder who we are, well I’m here to tell you all about us, the Delancey family.

I’m Tori, almost 30, stay-at-home mom of five amazing kids. I’m a survivor of spousal abuse and a survivor of child abuse. I’m the youngest of four kids and my parents got married over 35 years ago. I’ve always been an outside the box thinker and a lover of all things crafty. I have always had a passion for photography and photograph my children and husband, as much as possible. My hobbies include DIY projects, baking/cooking, blogging/vlogging, cosmetics, and spending time with my family.

My husband, Kevin is almost 29, a hard-working and dedicated family man. The moment that Kevin met my oldest three children, he treated them as if they were his own. Many times out in public before we got engaged and/or married, people always complimented him on how well-behaved his children were. He would just smile and thank them. Never once did he say that they weren’t his kids. He has always been proud of my children. He’s an amazing dad, always willing to help me cook, clean, or take care of the little ones. For jumping into a “ready-made” family, he’s done really well adjusting in such a short time.

Connor is about to turn 11 this summer. He’s my little computer geek, he’s always been very smart (wise beyond his years even as a toddler). He reads on a high school reading level in the 4th grade. Participates in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math), accepted into the gifted and talented program while enrolled in DoDEA schools. He loves all things electronic, reading, history, and war. He got Honor Roll for the first quarter of 2014-2015 school year.

Bailey just turned 8, she’s a very thoughtful and crafty little girl. She’s always been a fast learner, she could walk at 9 months. She could read at the age of 4, read and write in cursive (which she taught herself) in 1st grade. She has read on a 4th grade reading level since 1st grade and got straight A’s for the first quarter of the 2014-2015 school year.

Ada is about to turn 6, she’s my spunky little girl. Always has something silly to say, such a fire cracker. She is the sweetest and most loving little girl, I’ve ever met. No matter what happens in our lives this little girl can make us smile and laugh like no other.

Zachary will turn 3 in the middle of June. It’s hard to fathom that he’s almost 3! This rambunctious little boy keeps us on our toes. He is such a dare-devil, nothing scares him. But he sure knows how to make us smile and laugh with his sweet blue eyes and handsome little smile.

Ryleigh will celebrate her 1st birthday on Our 4th Wedding Anniversary. If someone would have told me in 2011 that my 5th child would have been born on our wedding anniversary, I would have laughed at them and told them they were crazy. When I found out I was pregnant with Ryleigh, I knew she would follow her older siblings. At my 1st appointment, I told my midwife that this little one would arrive 2 weeks early like Ada & Zachary. My due date was April 16th, 2014. She was born exactly 2 weeks before her due date. I went into labor on April 1st, 2014 (friends thought I was trying to pull an April Fools joke on everyone), but that sure wasn’t the case. Ryleigh has been such a blessing to our family, she’s always happy and smiling. She has the biggest blue eyes, the sweetest smile, and the chubbiest cheeks ever that make you want to just pinch them.
